TOP 7 CARS FOR BEATING CAR DEPRECIATION AND MAXIMISING YOUR RETURNS – VENTURE CARS EDITION

An important thing to keep in mind when thinking about purchasing a car besides the car’s looks, performance, fuel efficiency and price is car depreciation . Most cars depreciate year after year except for a handful of cars. Here is how we calculate car depreciation:

Car depreciation per annum = [Price – (½ ARF)] / 10 Years

If you are wondering how you can arrive at your ARF, please check-out LTA website, they did a good explanation on how you can arrive at your ARF figures. You will need your vehicle’s OMV and CEVs figures to calculate your ARF.

After checking the formula out, you will realise how Open Market Value (OMV) affects the car depreciation value – the higher the OMV, the lower your car depreciates. Be it in the parallel import or authorised car dealers sector, Venture Cars Singapore have the highest OMV value in the car market.

Pro tip: If you are comparing the same vehicle offered between 2 companies, it is always good to compare their OMV figures. The same car might be cheaper but their OMV might not be necessarily higher. The OMV figure is the true value of your car.

A general rule of thumb – Any car that depreciates less than $10 000/year is considered a good buy. 8 of our cars depreciate at less than $10 000/year.

For peeps who TL:DR, feel free to scroll to the last part of this blog article to reveal the champion of the depreciation war.
